custom SVG paths, matrix pixel manipulations, and low-latency rendering controls.The Challenge
Traditional QR code generators create low-resolution, blocky images that disrupt premium visual branding. Integrating custom logos, gradients, and stylized patterns usually breaks the mathematical integrity of the QR code matrix, rendering it unreadable to scanner lenses.
The Architecture
QRCraftly is an enterprise-grade TypeScript layout compiler that mathematically separates the functional QR code data matrix from its aesthetic rendering layers. It is built around a vector transformation pipeline, dynamic error corrections, and a 60FPS canvas visualizer.
// Stylized node rendering logic in TypeScript
interface StyledModule {
x: number;
y: number;
type: "data" | "finder" | "alignment" | "timing";
shape: "circle" | "rounded" | "square" | "fluid";
}
export function compileVectorPath(modules: StyledModule[]): string {
// Compiles discrete coordinates into a single unified SVG path string
return modules.map(m => `M ${m.x} ${m.y} a 0.5 0.5 0 1 0 0.001 0`).join(" ");
}
1. Reed-Solomon Error Correction Tuning
To support high-fidelity artwork overlays (such as placing a brand logo in the center of the QR matrix), QRCraftly sets the QR code's mathematical Reed-Solomon recovery level to Level H (High), guaranteeing that up to 30% of the active data pixels can be blocked or replaced without compromising scanner legibility. It runs dynamic pixel overlap validations to verify the exact reading boundaries.
2. Single-Path SVG Optimization
Standard generators output thousands of individual <rect> HTML tags, bloating the DOM and causing browser sluggishness on dynamic resizes. QRCraftly compiles the entire QR code grid into a single, highly optimized SVG <path> element. This yields incredibly lightweight file structures, allows for elegant gradient fills, and lets browsers render high-DPI outputs instantly.
3. Mathematical Grid Customizers
Systems designers can alternate between round, square, or fluid timing blocks. The engine recalculates proximity coordinates to merge adjacent modules into contiguous, mathematically valid vector shapes, generating beautiful vector canvases at run time.
